SEA Ambiente SpA was founded on January 2009 following the partial proportional demerger process of SEA SpA (now SEA GAS SpA.). The split resulted in the continued existence of SEA SpA (with change in the corporate and company name in the SEA GAS SpA) and the establishment of the new company SEA Ambiente SpA to perform the municipal wast collection service.
The share capital is predominantly public, divided between the municipality of Viareggio and the City of Camaiore (60%), while Publiambiente SpA, the private partner with a share of 40%. SEA Ambiente S.p.A. holds 60% stake in SEA Risorse SpA, which has entrusted the service of waste collection.
Sea Ambiente SpA cooperates with public authorities for waste management planning in order to improve the environmental sustainability of flows. The company has a proven experience in governance and participates as a player at the tables in consultation with other stakeholders Together with the Province and the ATO, Sea Ambiente SpA studies and proposes solutions for the optimization of waste streams to ensure cost savings.
